Washington Recap
Best resupply spot: Trout Lake General Store. They had lots of well priced options, including a few Knorr meals that I hadn’t come across before, so I wasn’t sick of them yet.
Worst place to be a hungry vegetarian: White Pass Kracker Barrel. They were out of pizza crust on the day that I pass through, so my only hot food option was a fried bean and cheese burrito. I felt like I had a brick in my stomach after eating one.
Best restaurant food: this is a tough one. I’d say it’s a tie between the breakfast sandwich at Aardvark in Snoqualmie Pass (they have fake bacon!), the salad at Commonwealth in Snoqualmie Pass, and the blue cheese veggie burger at the Bear Creek Cafe in Trout Lake.

Best place to splurge on a hotel: Kelly’s Inn in Trout Lake. The owner went out of his way accommodate us smelly hikers and the place is adorable. Runner up: The Village Inn in White Pass. The Village Inn wasn’t a budget option, but the rooms were really nice and they have loaner clothes available for laundry day.
Most annoying section: the never ending rocks a few miles before Snoqualmie Pass. Ow, my poor feetsies.
Most magical section: everything north of Rainy Pass. I feel lucky to have been able to see that in real life. So rugged. Much wow.
