Neverending breakfast
Posted On August 4, 2019

We hopped off of the PCT to do a short side hike to Ramona Falls. Starting just after sunrise, we arrived at the falls early enough to have them to ourselves. Ramona Falls is a very popular tourist destination, so having them to ourselves was a real treat.

We’re currently camped out behind the Timberline Lodge, waiting for the breakfast buffet to open so we can eat too much food before continuing south. We hadn’t planned on staying here last night, but apparently this buffet is one of the best meals on the PCT so we couldn’t miss out. Unlimited food = best meal.
The Lodge was used for the establishing outdoor shots of the hotel in The Shining. Alas, I haven’t run into the creepy twins in the hallway yet.

405 miles till California.

I hope you were able to eat your body weight at the buffet.
Just so you know, I actually check your blog several times a week–seeing the PCT vicariously through you; and I usually attempt to leave words of encouragement but my phone must not be compatible with your blog because most of my posts have disappeared into the black hole interweb. Go Meesh! I hope you consumed your body weight at the all you can eat buffet! Looking forward to your next missive & photos. Btw I’m back in the Bay Area; ended my road trip for now.
